Tattoos removal is carried out in order to eliminate dyes that are under the skin. The best effects are given by the Q-switch Nd: Yag laser. It is the most modern treatment for tattoo and permanent makeup removal. This solution is safe, less painful and have the lowest risk of scars.
This Q-switch Nd:Yag laser sends very short impulses (measured in nanoseconds) with high energy. It works in a highly selective way, without damaging skin cells. The Q-switch head works on two wavelengths of light: 1064 nm and 532 nm. Laser beams of the appropriate wavelength are absorbed by the dye. This leads to a photoacoustic effect and the breakdown of the pigment, followed by the absorption of dye molecules by macrophages of the immune system.
The procedure is not pleasant but in most cases there is no need for anesthesia. The discomfort felt during the procedure can be compared to the making a tattoo. For people who are more sensitive to pain, local anesthesia may be used. Tattoo removal using Q-switch Nd: Yag laser doesn’t require recovery.
