Indications
- Mycological test is performed in case of suspicion of fungus infection. Its symptoms are:
- changes in the colour of the nail (e.g. pale yellow, yellow-brown, greenish),
- uneven surface of the nail plate (folds, thickening),
- bumps on the nails,
- nail fragility,
- nail brittleness,
- cracked skin between the fingers,
- blisters on the skin
- redness, e.g. in the form of spots
- peeling of the epidermis,
- excessively calloused epidermis,
- itchy skin
- burning feeling.

Contraindications
There are no contraindications to mycological test.
Benefits
Test results are ready after about 3-4 weeks. They are interpreted by a dermatologist. If clinical picture indicate mycosis and the mycological test is negative, it may be necessary to repeat it.
