Treatments for acne scars in our clinic
Acne scars removal with Palomar Emerge laser
Palomar Emerge laser is a non-ablative fractional laser. Its light beams penetrate deeply into the skin to make controlled damages in the dermis – however, without breaking its continuity. This process effects with the production of new fibroblasts that regenerate collagen and elastin fibres.
Laser for acne scars stimulates the reconstruction of skin structures and damaged tissues are replaced with new and healthy ones.
Curing acne scars with laser is very effective. Impressive results may be obtained after just four visits. Even in case of deep marks laser scar treatment results in a significant levelling of the skin’s texture – said Natalia Munda, the cosmetologist
Harmony XL Pro iPixel laser for acne scars
The Harmony XL Pro iPixel laser is an effective and painless solution to acne scars. During the treatment precise micro beams create micro-damages in the skin provoking renewal of its cells as well as production of collagen and elastin. After the series of treatments, the skin is regenerated, more even and smooth.
Harmony XL Pro Clearlift laser cancels acne scars
The Harmony XL Pro Clearlift laser is a non-ablative fractional laser. It works pointwise without damaging the epidermis. It emits short impulses of high energy that reaches the dermis. As a result, there are microdamages that stimulate the skin to regenerate. In place of incorrectly built tissue new collagen and elastin fibres are synthesized and they even out the skin’s surface, make it thicken and firm.
CO2 Smart Xide2 fractional laser for acne scars
CO2 Smart Xide2 is a modern, dual-action device – it is a combination of fractional laser and radio waves. It works precisely and contactless causing scar evaporation. In a non-invasive way, it stimulates the skin to intensive reconstruction. The result of its action is the reduction of acne scars.
Treatments supporting scar reduction
Except the treatments that intensively reduce acne scars, there are also those that support this fight. These include: chemical peels, Dermapen / Mezopen, Acnelan and microdermabrasion.
Chemical peels reduce acne scars
One of the most effective solutions are chemical peels. There are many advantages. They reduce the visibility of scars, normalize the sebaceous glands, lighten discolorations and reduce wrinkles. The use of acids leads to the regeneration of the skin structures. Collagen and elastin fibres are renewed. Peels are made of mandelic acid, pyruvic acid, salicylic acid and glycolic acid. Each of these substances works with a different intensity. Choosing the right acid depends on the type of skin, but also the effects that one wish to obtain.
Needle mesotherapy for acne scars
Needle mesotherapy is a perfect addendum to other acne scar treatments. The treatment involves injecting properly prepared nutritious cocktails under the skin with a thin needle. The ingredients stimulate the skin to produce new collagen and elastin fibres and also fill the scar from the inside. As a result, acne scars become less visible.
Microdermabrasion for acne scars
Microdermabrasion is a beauty care treatment that also gives good results in reducing superficial acne scars. It helps to remove keratinized epidermis and reveal younger layers of the skin. The epidermis is rubbed off gradually with a diamond head of the device. The dust that is generated is sucked off by the pump. The treatment thoroughly cleans the skin, stimulates skin microcirculation and regenerative processes. After a whole set of treatments, scarring can be less visible.
Dermapen for acne scars
Dermapen/Mesopen is another interesting solution. Precise head of the devise has many small needles that puncture the treatment area and apply cocktails under the skin. They are selected according to individual skin needs. This treatment stimulates the renewal of the skin structures through mechanical stimulation by needles and the substances used.
Dermapen treatment is a very good solution to remove acne scars. By puncturing the treatment area, it stimulates skin reconstruction and scars are gradually reduced. To obtain satisfying effects, sometimes several treatments must be performed – said Marta Urbanowicz, cosmetologist from Clinica Cosmetologica

Acne scars – what are they?
If you want to understand how acne scars occur, keep in mind that every pimple is an inflammation. Scars are the result of our body’s fight against them.
When a pimple appears on the face, the healing process begins. In the deeper layers of the skin, the damaged structure is replaced by granulation tissue. Collagen fibres also appear and at the begging they are placed randomly. Then these fibres are replaced with new ones, arranged in an order. In the next phase the enzyme collagenesis absorbs scar tissue reducing the scar.
Unfortunately, sometimes this process doesn’t go correctly and visible marks remain on the skin. The most common causes are dead bacteria and cells that haven’t been completely removed from the area.
Scars and discoloration
Talking about the scars we should remember that the scar and discoloration are two different things. As scars we define characteristic holes on the skin after acne. Discoloration are pigmentation changes. Scars refer to structure disorders, while discoloration refers to colour disorders. The latter in many cases disappear on their own after some time. At the same time, even persistent acne discoloration is relatively easy to treat. Acne holes do not spontaneously disappear and their treatment is much more difficult.
Are the home remedies for acne scars effective?
The best home remedy for acne scars is to prevent them from forming. On the other hand, appropriate cosmetics, such as good cream for acne scars or peels can help to make them look smaller.
Cream for acne scars
Creams against acne scars that are applied regularly may also help. It is good to pick dermocosmetics whose action is based on stimulating skin regeneration processes. They will improve the overall condition and appearance of the skin. In addition, it is worth to use peels that will help slightly smooth the complexion.
One should remember that no cosmetic can completely eliminate scars. All creams and scrubs affect the surface of the skin – not area where the problem lies – deep layers. These types of cosmetics will improve the appearance of the skin but only on the surface. Therefore, it is worth to combine daily care with professional treatments. Thanks to this we’ll get the best results.
